  8. Thomas Chen will be coming.. I'll keep him informed. In case you do not know, we meet each other very often, almost once every two weeks, and he calls me regularly. He's been in touch with me very closely over the past few months, esp. after Yun was busy with his thesis.

Guess Thomas's finding a conversation partner to listen to his studies on chinese military and someone (i.e. me) who can expose him more to chinese culture.

I will make an announcement in CHF about 1 week in advance (as well as by e-mail). The mass publicity of CHF will take its effect soon.

  11. Note to all: I just dined at Caffe Pralet last evening, and found out that the manager, Cheryl, who made the place really feel welcoming, has left.

Most of the other staff are new, the only one I know is Gary who joined about 2-3 months ago.

I am not suggesting we change venue, but just want to say it won't be the same place as I know it when I recommended it.

I have tentatively made reservations for 12 people for 3pm. I will review the numbers closer to the date.
