Shaun Cassidy - That's Rock 'n' Roll sung in a Hardy Boys' episode

Lyrics

Well I was sixteen and sick of school
I didn't know what I wanted to do
I bought a guitar
I got the fever
That's rock'n' roll

I played at parties
played in bars
I spent my money buyin' new guitars
I screamed my heart out but how I loved it
That's rock'n' roll

Well come on everybody. Get down and get with it

Come on everybody. Get down and get with it

Come on everybody. Get down
that's rock'n' roll

It's when smokin' and the heat
Have got your heart pounding right with the beat
Don't try to fight it just get excited
That's rock'n' roll

Well it's the roadies and the crowd
It's when the band's playin' way too loud
Your hips are shakin' ain't no mistakin'
That's rock'n' roll

Now don't you worry 'bout bein' a star
It doesn't matter who or what you are
Just get the rhythm and let it fill ya
That's rock'n' roll

And if you feel it clap your hands
Let's see some sweat for the boys in the band
Now lemme hear ya
lemme hear ya
That's rock'n' roll

  1. So Shaun was Joe Hardy?

I didn't know there was a Hardy Boys television series. While I read some of the books growing up I never found them particularly good. Very formularic writing.

Borrowing a phrase, the Hardy Boys had nothing on T3I.

  3. I also missed the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries when it was telecasted in Singapore, if it was. Was too young anyway and they weren't my thing yet.

T3I was the best, HB/ND were more adventures than mysteries, though ND did have less action and more sleuthing compared to HB.

BTW, have you seen the T3I movie trailers yet? Unfortunate they haven't gotten round to dubbing it in English yet.

  4. Why aren't the trailers in English in the first place? No, I have not seen the trailers. Looking forward to watch Star Trek first.

  5. Holy smokes... is it still set in Rocky Beach California?

Why T3I is not more popular boggles the mind. You have smart kids who use their wits with brawns when necessary, the original gadget-geeks, helps people, solve interesting mysteries, actual mysteries, puzzles and deduction with no silly romantic interests to distract from the stories. (Let us ignore the horrendous T3I follow-up series where the boys are older with girlfriends (except for Jupe) but the mysteries and stories are so crummy).
